Kaziranga National Park is a national park spread across Golaghat, Karbi Anglong and Nagaon districts of the state of Assam, India. The park, which hosts two-thirds of the world’s Indian rhinoceroses, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Each year, thousands of visitors from around the world come to this unique destination to experience wildlife in its purest form. Compared to other national parks globally, Kaziranga National Park offers a higher chance of spotting rhinos, tigers and other big five animals due to its dense populations of these animals. Beyond its wildlife, the park provides a unique getaway, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the pristine natural surroundings of Southeast Asia’s typical wetlands and rainforests. Before planning your vacation, it is essential to learn about ticketing system and its availability in Kaziranga National Park. In this blog, we will discuss Kaziranga National Park tickets, entry fees, how to book and other guidelines for booking.
Kaziranga National Park Tickets
Like any other national park in India, entering Kaziranga National Park without permission is a punishable offense. It is mandatory to obtain the necessary permissions before venturing into the wild. However, Kaziranga is unique in several ways.
The park spans approximately 900 square kilometers, covering parts of four districts in Assam: Sonitpur, Nagaon, Golaghat, and Karbi Anglong. Parts of Kaziranga are bordered by the Brahmaputra River and wetlands, making its boundaries not perfectly demarcated. Additionally, National Highway 715 (NH 715) runs through the park. Therefore, it’s essential to understand the details of the tickets required for Kaziranga National Park before entering the area. You need to know for which activities you need to buy tickets and obtain permissions, and for which you do not.
