Kaziranga National Park Tickets
Like any other national park in India, entering Kaziranga National Park without permission is a punishable offense. It is mandatory to obtain the necessary permissions before venturing into the wild. However, Kaziranga is unique in several ways.
The park spans approximately 900 square kilometers, covering parts of four districts in Assam: Sonitpur, Nagaon, Golaghat, and Karbi Anglong. Parts of Kaziranga are bordered by the Brahmaputra River and wetlands, making its boundaries not perfectly demarcated. Additionally, National Highway 715 (NH 715) runs through the park. Entry Fees For Visitors Inside Kaziranga
When you are visiting Kaziranga National Park, there are two options at your hand: either stay at your booked resorts and enjoy the nature or go for a safari (elephant or jeep). Once you’ve booked your resorts near Kaziranga National Park, you can directly go there without paying any entry fees or booking tickets. So, basically there are no entry fees or tickets for travellers.
Similarly, if you are a casual traveler moving along NH 715 and wish to explore the area without entering the park itself, there are provisions for you. You do not need to pay any entry fees or book tickets. There are designated stopping points along the route where you can enjoy a cup of tea and take in the beautiful scenery. However, stopping at undesignated spots is prohibited, and you may be heavily fined if caught by the authorities.
Tickets For Kaziranga Safari
Entry fee is only applicable for safari inside the territory. Kaziranga National Park tickets for safari is Rs. 100 Rs for Indian travellers and Rs 650 for foreign nationals. However, there are additional charges.
So, the total cost of tickets to enter Kaziranga National Park for a jeep safari is 680. This is for Indian travellers only. This price excludes any vehicle/elephant charges for Safari and camera charges. So, if you are booking a jeep for safari you have to pay additional charges for jeep. In regular season, you can hire a jeep for Rs. 2000-2500. A jeep can accommodate a maximum of five persons (including children).
Should You Book Kaziranga Tickets In Advance
If you have booked a Kaziranga Safari or a total tour package through a third party, you need not to worry about booking entry tickets. Tickets and entry passes are included in that price. If you are planning your trip by yourself, you need to book tickets. However, in most cases, these can be bought along with Safari booking.
